A Llama Scrapbook Page

My husband and I used to have a llama ranch outside of Ashland, Oregon. Most of the photos we took were black and white because we were publishing books about llamas and needed photos to use in them. Little did I know that I would eventually be scrapbooking with those photos!

When Linda Sattgast of Scrappers Guide sent out a tutorial on how to make slide mounts in her digital scrapbooking ezine , I thought it would be fun to play with some of my old llama photos that were already scanned in.

Here is the result. This was done in Adobe Photoshop Elements, creating each slide individually from Linda's instructions. The part that took the longest was positioning the photos in their slide mounts. Well, actually, the part that took the longest was remembering so many stories from that era of my life...

Anyway, inspired by one of Linda's examples, I began "tossing" the slides onto an 8.5x11 page. The llama stamp was from a drawing my husband did that we had used as a t-shirt when we had the ranch. The font is Lucida Handwriting, a Windows font which has long been a favorite of mine.

(If you want to know more about llamas, clicking takes you to my llamas site. It includes the full text of a book I wrote, Living with Llamas. )
